Silver had woken quite early, to find himself comfortably snug under a blanket on Cade’s sofa. He looked around as he yawned, noticing no one was up yet and slipped off the sofa to investigate his findings of the night before. He began emtying out pockets, and eventually found a curious-looking incense holder, slightly dusty but shiny. “I wonder who left this laying around…” He said aloud, grabbing his coat cuff and rubbing the side to get the dust off. “It’s rather interesting looking!”
The whole house seemed to shake as a odd green smoke filled the room. Slowly the smoke took the shape of a four tailed, tall xweetok. She was a deep chocolate brown with odd green markings on her body, her hair a a complicated system of curls and tucked pieces. She wore an off the shoulder kimono, which had long sleeves that hid her hands and was just a few inches above her knees. “….Good morning Master.” The woman said, her voice obviously from shennkuu or a surrounding country.
Keelin who had been asleep in her bed, though getting close to waking, sat up in suprise as she felt the shaking. Blinking a couple times she stood, going to the door and opening it a little. What had that been?
Silver blinked at the odd smoke, and looked up at the figure, mouth agape. “Wooooooah! Were you trapped inside there?”
The female looked around for a moment then looked down at Silver, smiling she kneeled down and nodded. “Well yes I am a genie silly.” ‘A cursed one at that.’ Came Cade’s voice from his room.
Keelin walked out of the room as she heared voices, Cade, Silver and… one she didn’t reconize. “Cade? Whats going on?” She asked, coming up behind the xweetok.
Silver looked over at Cade’s voice, curious gaze accentuated by alert ears twitching in his direction. He turned back to the female. “You’re a GENIE? What’s it like? How’d you become a genie? Were you BORN like that?” He jumped to his feet, and circled around her, tugging at curls and inspecting her clothing, “Don’t genies grant wishes? Three right? I heard about them in stories. Why does Cade say you’re cursed?”
The genie chuckled and sat beside Silver. “…Uhm I am a genie, it’s fun…I…don’t really remember or know how I became one.” She said answering his questions and ignoring Cade. “…I..did…grant wishes. Yes it was three. But..I was cursed by a woman because of choices my previous…MASTERS made.” She looked to Cade. “I had no choice but to grant them.” Cade sighed and looked to Keelin. “…That’s Johana. A genie that was found wandering alone in the forest. Tsu found her and they fought.”
Keelin was entertained by Silver’s attack of questions, but seeing the xweetok didn’t mind she looked at Cade. “A genie? Oh I’ve heard of those before. What is she doing here though?”
“Really? So what did you have to grant that was so bad?” He asked curiously, sitting down again before her and grabbing the incense holder, peering inside it. “Looks kinda cramped in there.”
“Uhm.” She looked to Cade then to Silver. “…I’m not very restricted with my wishes so.. I did many..bad things.” Cade watched her then looked to Keelin. ‘She is a genie. But…she is pretty useless now..to be blunt’ He said quietly. Johana looked to Silver and sighed. “I have some power…but not much.”
Keelin nodded a little, “I see.” She said, then looking at Johana and smiling. “Well its nice to meet you. I’m Keelin.”
“Oh… well what CAN you do?” Silver asked, seemingly not at all bothered by her words. “And am I really your master now?”
“Yes you are.” She looked to Keelin and stood, bowing. “I am Johana.” She smiled to Silver. “I can do small tricks. Change appearances, heal wounds temporarily. Anything really. it never lasts.” Cade watched her with a critcal eye. ‘Be careful Johaha. You can’t run around like before.’
Silver got to his feet, holding the incense holder. “Woah, so… wait… you can do magic but it doesn’t last? But if you heal temporarily what happens after the spell wears off?”
Keelin watched curiously, but jsut stood back. Part of her was glad that anything this genie could do was temporary, considering who her master was. Silver wouldn’t do things to hrut anyone… but from what she had seen of the Jerboa… he could cause a lot of chaos.
“I guess the wound would reappear. But it’d give you time to like….get supplies to help them.” She smiled and held out her hands. “I will carry you if you would like Master.” Cade watched the three then sighed. ‘Who wants breakfast?’
Silver shook is head, “No thanks, I can walk.” He smiled, “Can’t wait to see what you can do though!” He looked to Cade, tail twitching, “I’m hungry! I would love some of those spirit cookies! Say, why do you call them that?”
Keelin smiled at Cade. “Breakfast sounds good.” She said before giggling at Silver’s question of spirit cookies.
Johana burst out laughing. “Still calling them that?” She said poofing away from Silver then infront of Cade, whose tail poofed. ‘…..Well of course!’ He said walking past her. ‘I’ll see what I can make us..’ He said quietly, Johana reappearing beside Silver. “Oh and I can’t die. So I will protect you with my life Master”
Silver looked quite surprised at that. “Oh… well I hope that isn’t necessary, though if we do fight dragons I suppose it could be necessary.” He nodded, pursuing Cade, “So, why ARE they called spirit cookies?”
Keelin followed, giggling more and looking at Silver then Cade. Was he going to tell the Jerboa?
Cade didn’t seem to hear as he began to cook them pancakes, bacon, and sausages. His tail still poofed up. Johana grinned and moved beside Silver. “…Oh well either way I will do anything for my Master!”
Silver turned to Johana when he didn’t get an answer. “Do YOU know?”
Keelin sat down, watching Cade and a hand over her mouth to silence her giggles at the sight of his poofed out tail. He really was cute when flustered.
Cade turned to Johana, pointing his spatula at her. “Johana.” Johana giggled. ‘The spirits make his cookies of course!’ She said with a grin. Cade’s ears flicked and he moved back to the breakfast, his tail flicking to and fro.
Silver blinked. “No they don’t. I saw him making them himself, with just an apron on too. Is that why they’re called spirit cookies?” He looked excited at this revelation, “Because you cook them naked?”
Keelin couldn’t hold it anymore and after hearing Silver she burst out laughing, her normally white face going red from laughing so hard.
Cade looked back at Silver with a confused face. “…Uh no. I don’t cook in the nude…..” He said seriously distrubed. Johana laughed. ‘No, the spirits really do make them. And…Cade…doesn’t cook naked!’ She couldn’t help but laugh when Keelin began to crack up. “Quite the imagination you have…” Cade said shaking his head.
Silver blinked in confusion, “Well I…” He opened his mouth, then closed it, looking around at them all suspiciously. “You guys are playing jokes on me aren’t you?”
Keelin calmed down after a moment, brushing some tears from her eyes. “You are one crazy guy Silver.”
Cade smiled at Keelin. “Glad we could make you laugh.” He said flicking pancake batter at her. Looking to Silver he smirked. “…You enjoy fantasing about naked men? Well I’m flattered…but…I don’t really feel the same…” Johana made a face that cleary said ‘no he didn’t’ then began to laugh uncontroablly.
Silver went red at that. “I do no such thing!” He protested, whiskers bristling in indignation.
Keelin giggled and let out a small ‘eep’ as batter was flicked at her. “Hey! Cade no fair!” She said before looking at Silver and moving to give the jerboa a hug.
Cade laughed at the reaction, seemed he didn’t like the tables turned on him. “There is nothing wrong if its true~” He said flicking his tail from side to side. Johana tried to stop laughing but couldn’t, now crying. Someone seemed to have loosened Cade up and he was hilarious!
“Well it’s not!” He huffed, snuggling Keelin, his size just perfect to end up snuggling into her breasts. “I prefer round pillowy breasts, thank you.”
A bit of pink came to her cheeks as she heared Silver but she giggled, letting go of the hug and looking down at him but she wasn’t exactly sure what to say to the jerboa.
Cade sighed. “That is just bad taste.” He said flicking his tail, not saying anything else. Johana smiled. “You can hug my breasts Master!” Cade flinched and smacked his forehead. “You two out of my kitchen! Keelin I could use some help…”
Silver siled at Keelin, then turned, “Really? Can I hug your tails?” He asked.
Keelin stood, going over to Cade. “What do you need help with?”
“Of course Master!” Johana said as all four piled onto the jeroba. Cade pointed to the batter bowl. “Pour the pancakes while I set aside the bacon and sausage.”
Silver laughed with glee, glomping the tails and jumping onto one, snuggling into them happily.
Keelin nodded, getting to work with that she had told. “You okay now Cade?” She asked with a giggle, looking to see if his tail was still poofed out.
Cade had been fine until she asked, his tail suddenly poofin out, along with the rest of his fur. “…..Y-yes!” He said but flinched as he burned his hand. Johana laughed as she began to tickle him with two of her tails.
Silver giggled more, squirming between the tails as he tried hiding beneath them.
Keelin giggled but saw Cade’s flinch, going closer to him she gentally took his hand. “Sorry… are you okay?”
Cade nodded looking at his hand. “…Yeah..it will blister…” He said with a chuckle. He wasn’t quite used to being flustered and it seemed everyone here was good at making him flustered. Johana laughed as she moved all her tails to the side then made had them surround him. “I have you now!~” She said as all four began to tickle him from all sides.
The rodent squeaked and jumped as the tails tickled him, and suddenly he was gone from their center, sitting on the counter some distance away, wide-eyed.
Sera kept her hand gentally over his. “I’m sorry. Did I cause you to do that?”
Johana seemed to vanish then appeared beside him. “…You alright Master?” Cade shook his head. “No. I did it…” He laughed, smiling at her. “Third cabinet has some healing supplies.”
The poor rodent squeaked at the sudden apparition, and darted off the table and out the door.
Keelin nodded, going to the cabinet and getting the stuff she would need. “Then lets get that treated.”
Johana blinked looking to Cade. “…My new master is fun!” She said poofing out of the house and beside Silver, whereever he was. Cade shook his head at Johana but smiled, watching Keelin. “Sounds good to me.”
Silver was sitting on a branch outside the house, holding the incense burner. He jumped at her apeparance, but didn’t startle as badly, expecting her this time. “Y…you startled me!”
Keelin nodded, starting to treat the burn, but did giggle a little as the other two left. “Seems we will have another traveling with us starting tommorrow.”
“….Did I?? I’m sorry Master…” Slowly she shrunk to his size and hugged him. “If you wish to punish me you can. I will spend the day in my lamp…” Cade grumbled slightly. “Johana is a pain, and coupled with Silver I sense a lot of ch..ow…” He flinched as she treated the burn. “..Chaos..” His tail was still two times its normal size.
Silver looked at her, then at the lamp. “Isn’t it cramped in there?” He asked.
Keelin nodded “Yes I think it will be… interesting. But Silver is good at keeping people’s spirits up when they are done. I think she will help him.”
“I think so too. As long as they don’t have TOO much fun.” He said watching her as she worked on his hand. Johana shook her head. “Nope I shrink. Its my little home.” She said with a grin.
Silver’s eyes widened. “REALLY!? Can I come inside and see? Make me shrink too?”
Keelin was soon done and nodded. “I don’t think they will. And Silver seems pretty nice, if you ask him he might stop, atleast for a while.”
Cade nodded and smiled at his now bandaged hand. “Thanks. And..wel I hope so. And he controls her so hopefully it won’t get too hairy…” Johana blinked a few times. “…I..dont think I can. You might grow big again and break my home…then…I’d be…well..I dunno!”
Silver deflated. “Awwww….”
Keelin laughed a little, “Just have a little faith Cade.”
Johana moved to hug him. “Yeah. Its not fair.” She said with a smile. “…Well I will…go back into my lamp until you need me…okay Master?”
Cade smiled slightly. “Guess I could try.”
Silver nodded, “Okay then.” He smiled, “But you’ll have to magic me later okay!?”
Keelin nodded and hugged him “Good then! Cause we will be traveling with them starting tommorrow!”
Cade laughed, hugging her back for a moment before turning back to the food. “Yep. Guess I’ll have to get used to everyone…and vice versa.” He said with a small smile.
Johana nodded. “Yes of course Master, anything for you~” She said kissing his cheek before turning into the same green smoke and going into the incense burner.
SIlver watched with amazement, tail flicking in excitement. He pocketed the burner and hopped off the tree, going back to the home he shared with Bast and the others, forgetting the rest of his pouch contents still strewn on Cade’s floor and breakfast at his place.
Keelin looked to the food and grinned. “Lets not let them get any colder!” She said, sitting down.
Cade laughed as he set the table and brought their plates over. “We have extra, so I guess I’ll pack it.” He said digging in.
